Hinton has been noticing his hands lately, and often seems to find them fascinating.

Week Nineteen

Hinton is nineteen weeks old today.

Week Eighteen

Hinton is eighteen weeks old today.

Rolling Update

This morning I told Brandon that I did some reading last night on one of the baby websites I now frequent, and it said that most babies don't roll from their back to tummy until they are 5 - 6 months old, but will start rolling from tummy to back at 3 months. Brandon looked a little put out at this information, since Hinton is now 4 months old and we had yet to see him roll over. (In Hinton's defense - while we will occasionally roll him from his back to his tummy and snap a couple pictures, we very rarely give him "tummy time" like we are supposed to - he has never seemed to like it much.) So this morning Brandon put Hinton on his tummy. Hinton did a little baby push up, stiffened his left arm, and - plop - pushed himself right over onto his back. He did this a number of times this morning, and we were, of course, highly entertained each time. However, I couldn't get a repeat performance out of him this evening when I actually had the camera handy.

Four Months Old

Hinton is four months old today!

Almost There

He still hasn't quite figured out how to roll over - but he is getting really close! It should be any day now.

Of course he looks especially sweet while he is sleeping.

Week Seventeen

Hinton is seventeen weeks old today.


Today is his first time wearing overalls - I think he looks especially adorable. :-)

New Adventures

I have pulled out some "new" toys in the last few days for Hinton to play with.

Smiles and Squeals

This has been a week full of big smiles and happy squeals. Hinton has a high pitched squeal that he can hold for quite awhile - I think he likes to listen to his own voice. :-)

Week Sixteen

Hinton is sixteen weeks old today.

A New Discovery

Hinton has discovered his tongue. It is the handiest, always available, wiggly and slippery toy of the week!







He has also started licking things.

This picture shows Hinton's excited look perfectly - when he is laying on the floor and we are down really close to him, or hang his favorite toy over his head, his mouth opens up and he wriggles like crazy!
