Leaning

Hinton seems to have suddenly developed stomach muscles. He is getting good at sitting forward when in his car seat, or leaning far forward when he is sitting up and sees a toy that he wants to reach.

Week Twenty-Eight

Hinton is twenty-eight weeks old today.

He is becoming a pretty good eater. This last week he decided that he really likes squash, but he doesn't seem very excited about carrots.

AND he has a second tooth coming in now on the bottom!

Nearly Naked Baby

Kelson

I got together with my college roommates yesterday afternoon. Hinton found Kelson (Amber's son) very entertaining.

Excited about ?

Here's Hinton, looking excited. These pictures were taken a few days ago, so now I don't remember what he was excited about.

And another of him looking calmer, but just as cute.

Favorite Toy

This is Hinton's favorite "toy" - it is actually a plastic purple triangle that can be used to attach toys to different things. But, he likes the triangle better than the actual toys.

Week Twenty-Seven

Hinton is twenty-seven weeks old today.

Goofy Baby

Hinton was laying on the floor and acting kind of silly.

Peas!

The next food Hinton tried was peas.

He had a similar reaction to peas as previous foods - an affronted expression at the first bite, like he was saying "Why did you DO that?" but he then continues to eat them in small bites.

He likes to play with the washcloth, but does not like to be washed by the washcloth.

He even occasionally looks like he is having fun while he eats.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Geil

Today was a party for Brandon's grandpa's 75th birthday! Here are a few pics we took.

Mirrors are fun!

Four generations: Brandon, Hinton, Glenna, & Glen

Still Sitting

Hinton continues to get better at sitting up and reaching for things.

Prunes!

Return of the Toys

I have put Hinton's toys back on the tray of the swing. He has already grown so much that he can now get them into his mouth! (Trauma-free swinging, yay.)

Eating - Round 2

In feeding Hinton several times over the last day, I have learned two things:

#1 - Bibs with velcro are nifty.

#2 - Making the cereal thicker makes it much less messy - at least it keeps the mess on his chin and not running down his neck!

He isn't too sure he likes the cereal.

He does, however, like the spoon.
