Halloween Party

Hinton went to his first Halloween party this afternoon.

There was a lot to keep the kiddos entertained.

But his favorite entertainment was the dog in the backyard.

Halloween, Day One

We have two costumes for Hinton this year - one for him to wear today to a Halloween party, and one to wear tomorrow at home.

He wasn't very impressed with the monkey suit when we put it on him at home.

Week Fifty

Hinton is fifty weeks old today. Fifty!

He still isn't walking on his own, but he will walk up along the side of the couch, to the chair, to the desk, or along the wall.

He has also started mimicking sounds. He will make all kinds of clicking and kissing sounds on demand, and has even started trying to repeat some words.

Laundry

Hinton was having a lot of fun taking all of the laundry OUT of the laundry basket, so we decided to put him IN the basket and pile the laundry on top of him!

Also, he *finally* cut another tooth today. Hopefully the drooling and whining will be on hiatus for a little while.

Week Forty-Nine

Hinton is forty-nine weeks old today.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Fellows!

Hinton and I were in Bandon this weekend to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday.

It was a fun opportunity to get to visit with family and friends.

After meeting a lot of new people, Hinton slept through the second half of the party.

Low Chair

We took Hinton's portable highchair to Black Butte with us. In this picture he got himself stuck when it tipped backward - his feet are actually dangling in the air.

At one point we had taken the tray off of the "low chair" while he was still strapped in - and he leaned forward and started to crawl with the chair still strapped to his back! I didn't take the time to take a picture of that one because it looked uncomfortable.

Week Forty-Eight

Hinton was forty-eight weeks old on Tuesday. Because we were at Black Butte, we didn't take a tiger picture this week.

Eleven Months Old! + video

Hinton turned eleven months old on Monday. Less than a month until his birthday!

Brandon and Hinton were enjoying themselves when out for a "walk".

Black Butte

We just spent six days at Black Butte. Brandon's parents and brother's family joined us for the weekend.

Hinton got to spend some time with his cousins.

There were a lot of deer around!

Nose

When Hinton really likes something, he will put his nose on it.

Hinton's current favorite book is a baby signs book. When I read this book to him I only read the word being signed, so we get through it really quickly!

Week Forty-Seven

Hinton is forty-seven weeks old today.

The most challenging picture to take each Tuesday is Hinton next to the bear.

Can you even see his shoulder in this picture? He's fast!

Before Bedtime

Hinton was being silly when we were playing in his room tonight just before bedtime. First he was checking out his hamper.

Then he took a couple steps over to his mirror.

He could see from about his nose down in the mirror. He laughed and laughed like it was the funniest thing he had ever seen.

Then he settled down and looked at some books. Many times throughout the day he will sit down and look at books by himself.

He usually looks at them right-side-up.

Sometimes he will even take a look at the book that I am reading.
