An Aunt Joan Quilt

My Aunt Joan gave a quilt to Hinton this month that she had made. He loves it! It's the first time since he was a baby (and wasn't mobile) that he has enjoyed hanging out and playing on a blanket.

Happy Birthday Kiera & Gabby!

Today Gabby turned 7 and Kiera turned 15!

Hinton had a lot of fun playing with a bunch of balloons.

We took some pics of the cousins. I know Shorty, Steve and Glenna all got some better shots so I will post some more once their photos have been sent my way.

Year Two, Month One (+ 2 Days)

We've decided to take the tiger and bear photos only once a month from now on. We intend to take them on the 13th. This month we forgot until the 15th.

He caught a tiger by the tail!

His best tantrum-y face from earlier in the day. He wanted chocolate milk - but absolutely refused to say "please".

Christmas Storybook Land 2009

Hinton and I went to Christmas Storybook Land with the MOMS Club again this year. He loved it!

It is cold in the building so I had him dressed in many layers. He was compared to the kid in A Christmas Story several times.

There were lots and lots of scenes from Disney movies, none of which Hinton has seen. His favorites were the ones that included animals.

The Three Little Pigs ~~~~~~~~~~Noah's Ark

Mary Had a Little Lamb ~~~~~~~ The Lion King

Old McDonald Had a Farm

And of course Sesame Street was a hit.

And he LOVED watching the cow jump over the moon!
(Hey Diddle Diddle.)

And I could barely tear him away from Thomas. (There is actually a fairly big train section, and of course he loved them all.)

We even got to meet Santa!

Christmas Tree

This is the first year that we have gotten a tree since Hinton was born. He wasn't quite sure what to make of picking out the tree, or decorating it. He has been pretty good about leaving the decorations alone so far. Less good with the lights on the tree - if we turn our backs he will turn them off and on, off and on, off and on.

Frosting Cookies

The kids frosted cookies at our monthly MOMS Club meeting last week. A fun, messy time had by all.

I tried taking cute Christmas-y pictures of Hinton a couple different days in hopes of getting the perfect one to put on a Christmas card. That didn't end up working out, but here are a few I think are kind of cute.

Nap Time Entertainment

Almost every time I check on Hinton after putting him to bed he has something new next to him - usually a book or a toy. I don't have a picture of it, but at this very moment it is a rubber duck.

Thanksgiving

Hinton watched his first real movie this weekend. Stuart Little 2.
He was transfixed.

Grandma was drawing on Hinton's doodle pad, and Hinton was erasing it. He found this hi-lar-i-ous.

Happy Birthday Hinton!

Two years old? Really?!

Game On!
