Build-A-Bear and Ikea and Basketball, Oh My!

We took Hinton to Build-A-Bear this afternoon.

(Of course he actually decided to build a monkey.)

He helped stuff the monkey . . .

. . . and gave him a bath . . .

. . . and named him George and created a birth certificate.

Then we were off to Ikea to find Hinton a new dresser.

From Portland we headed to Amity so that Brandon

could play in his alumni basketball tournament.

His first game was against his brother's team

so they ended up guarding each other.

Goofy Hat

Goat Farm

The MOMS Club visited a goat farm this morning.

Hinton liked looking at them,

but wasn't interested in getting up close and personal.

This is the only goat he touched.

The owner told him it was the "grandma goat".

He stopped by to say "Hi!" to a cow too.

New Haircut

Brandon cut Hinton's hair tonight.

He always looks so much older after a haircut!!

Year Three, Month Four

Fire Station 7

Hinton and I visited a fire station this morning with his preschool.

They turned on the lights on the truck.

They also watched a fireman get dressed in his gear - the lesson being, if you're ever in your house and a fireman is dressed like that and trying to help you, you shouldn't be afraid. He's still the same nice fireman under all the gear. Don't hide from him. Etc.

Then they got to go up and say "hi" to and touch the fireman.

Last Swimming Lesson

Today was Hinton's last swimming lesson of the session.

They had "Safety Day".

It was Hinton's first time in a life jacket.

And they had time to play with a toy of their choice

at the end of class (today's was a boat). Always his favorite part.

Bandon Trip

This weekend Hinton and I (and Flat Stanley)
took a quick trip down to Bandon.

Ivy, my cousin's daughter, was there for the weekend too.

Flat Stanley had a busy weekend.

Sutherlin Trip

Last weekend Brandon took Hinton down to Sutherlin to visit his parents. Glenna shared this photo of Hinton and Grandpa working on a puzzle.
