Japan, Day 5 (Thursday, August 12, 2010)

Touristy Day #2 - Tokyo Disneyland!

First stop: Alice's Tea Party

Waiting in line.

This is what the boys were doing while the rest of us were waiting in line.

Ready to start!

Hinton loved the Teacups!

Next was Snow White's Adventures. It was pretty creepy - Hinton had big eyes the entire time, and didn't seem to enjoy it much.

Then we went to Dumbo: The Flying Elephant.

I rode with Sophia, and she was much more comfortable up there than I was.

Hinton took a detour to play in the fountain while the other half of our group went to ride Space Mountain (which I hear neither Shawn nor Sophia enjoyed).

We met in front of the castle.

Next we had lunch. This was my and Hinton's "ketchup bouquet" as Gilda called it. Yes, we love ketchup!

Off to Adventureland!

And onto the Jungle Cruise

Then we waited for the Jubilation Parade to start at 4:00 p.m., but it was canceled because of high winds. Just like two other shows were that we tried to take the kids to see.

At Minnie's house:

Goofy's car:

In Donald's boat:

At the Buzz Astro Blasters ride.

This is what the crazy weather did to my hair. Brandon laughed at me all day, but everyone else refrained from comment.

We tried to take the kids to see the Minnie! Oh Minnie! show.
But it was also canceled. Thankfully, the characters were sent out to sing one song and say hi.

Minnie came down the aisle and gave Hinton a kiss!

Sophia got a high five.

Then we were off to find dinner - tasty waffles!
Brandon got maple and I got chocolate.

Shawn and Sophia got mini waffles.

Driving the Churros truck. Shawn and Sophia were VERY excited to get Churros earlier in the day.

We waited around until 8 p.m. in hopes that the Electrical Parade would still happen, even though everything else throughout the day had been canceled due to the (windy) weather.

And - it did happen!

Sadly, Hinton fell dead asleep five minutes before it started.

We tried and tried to wake him up to see Buzz, Woody, and Jessie with no luck.

It was a long, but very fun, day.
